The Seahorse Restaurant Devon

Mitch and Mat will be cooking up a seafood treat with Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw for Groucho Club members in April.  They say "This is going to be a gourmatic odyssey so make sure you’ve booked your berth on the good ship fish supper.. More mouth-watering details to follow".  

A wonderful evening of food and wines The Seahorse is delighted to be welcoming back the double act of Tim McLaughlin-Green and Susy Atkins who proved such a popular formula at the Dartmouth Food Festival.  Susy is familar to many from her many appearances as wine expert on BBC1's Saturday Kitchen, and is also the wine columnist for The Sunday Telegraph magazine. She is the author of ten wine books and is known for her accessible, down-to-earth approach to fine wine and food matching.  Tim is an award winning sommelier whose enthusiasm and knowledge is second to none.  There will be lots to learn, lots to talk about and plenty of top quality food from Mitch Tonks and Mat Prowse in the kitchen.  Cost £60 (which includes a glass of wine with each course).  Bookings strongly advised, limited numbers only.  Please email us or ring (we are open again on 10th January but you can leave a message - 01803 835147).

Chef & baker, Richard Bertinet from The Bertinet Kitchen & Bakery in Bath joins Mitch and Mat for a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Seahorse. £35 a head for a wonderful meal and an opportunity to listen to and talk to Richard who never fails to excite and enthuse about the art of bread making and have most people dashing out to buy the ingredients to bake at home. 

Henry Dimbleby, of Leon restaurants, returns to his 'second home' in Dartmouth to the Seahorse for a hosted lunch during Food Festival week, this year with fellow chef and friend Claire Ptak (Violet Cakes).  A treat of a Sunday lunch with roast rib of Devon beef, spotted dick and apple sorbet - not to be missed.  £35 a head for 3 courses & a glass or our wonderful Prosecco.

Another fabulous foodie night awaits when Val Warner (of What to Eat Now Channel 4 series and book fame) returns to Dartmouth as part of the food fesival and  joins Mitch and Mat for a night of foodie inspiration. A great, and of course very seasonal, menu awaits, a glass of Prosecco (£55 a head)  plus a warm welcome and plenty of chat from Val on 'What to eat now'. 

Celebrated chef & food writer Mark Hix joins Mitch & Mat for a Friday evening during the Dartmouth food festival, a menu celebrating all that is great about British seasonal food is promised and Mark will be available to chat to throughout this evening of great food and wines.  £55 a head for 3 courses & a glass of Prosecco.
