We specialise in the best local seafood and simple grilled meat dishes as well as house specialities. Dishes include a starter of Dartmouth crab, dressed to order, a plate of local fried seafood, a fabulous seafood stew, a cutlet of English veal with anchovy and parsley or chicken livers wrapped in sage and grilled over wood burning fires.
We have a fabulous wine list featuring many winemakers who have become our friends over our years as restaurateurs. We also list the odd bottle of rarities that we have bought at auction and only add a small amount of money to the cost price, these wines are for drinking. Click above to see our wine list. During February & March - If you have a brilliant bottle of wine or two at home and want to enjoy it with some great food feel free to bring it with you in Wednesday nights, we don't charge corkage and will be happy to serve it to you.
We want our guests to experience as much as they can from the list so we’ll open bottles each day of different wines so as we can offer a daily selection, on busy nights if the mood is right we could be persuaded to open a magnum or two.
